FUTURE PROCUREMENT - General Renovations and Roof Replacement at VIB Charlottesville Plant

The Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) plans to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) in March 2026 for general renovations and roof replacement at the Virginia Industries for the Blind (VIB) Plant located at 1102 Monticello Road, Charlottesville, VA. The project will include an addition featuring an employee canopy drop-off area, as well as renovations such as HVAC and electrical upgrades, roof replacement, structural repairs, site improvements, ADA compliance upgrades, and space reconfiguration to improve manufacturing processes. Additionally, the solicitation will include additive bid items for replacing the freight elevator, replacing the generator, and repaving the loading dock and parking lot.
