Bristol Dist Admin Roof Replacement

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Bristol District Administration Building Roof Replacement. The project involves the removal of existing roofing and installation of a new roofing system for the VDOT Bristol District Administration Building at the VDOT Bristol District Complex in Bristol, VA 24201. The administration building is a three-story masonry clad structure located on an open lot.

Work Details
The work includes the removal of an existing roof membrane and rigid insulation, and its replacement with a new single-ply roof membrane system on tapered rigid insulation. The roofing replacement will include but is not limited to removal of the existing roofing system down to the substrate and installing a new membrane roofing system, scuppers and drains, lightning protection system (delegated design), roofing accessories, and related repairs.

Period of Performance
The contract requires Substantial Completion of the entire project within 120 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement of the Work as specified in the Notice to Proceed, with Final Completion achieved within 30 consecutive calendar days after Substantial Completion.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the VDOT Bristol District Complex, 870 Bonham Road, Bristol, VA 24201.
