Description
Background
Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is seeking qualified individuals or firms to provide Engineering Design Services aimed at enhancing roadway traffic safety and pedestrian accessibility. The project focuses on two specific areas: the implementation of traffic calming measures and pathway reconstruction on Payday Drive, and the design of a mini-traffic circle at the intersection of Ledger Way and Triton Drive.
This initiative is part of the PCMC Neighborhoods First Street Program (NFSP), which addresses community concerns regarding roadway safety.
Work Details
The selected Respondent will be responsible for producing 30% design drawings for three traffic calming options along Payday Drive, which include:
1) Median Islands - installation of median islands with minor roadway edge reinforcement;
2) Pathway Widening and Roadway Narrowing - design that narrows the roadway while maintaining two lanes of traffic and one parking lane, with an 8-foot pathway on the north side;
3) Combination - a design that installs median islands without modifying existing roadway limits while including an 8-foot pathway on the north side.
Additionally, a 30% design package for a mini-traffic circle at Ledger Way will also be required. The scope includes typical sections, preliminary plans, estimated construction costs, and a project timeline.
Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon selection and must be completed by April 6, 2026. SOQs are due by February 20, 2026.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Park City, Utah.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must be authorized to conduct business in Utah at the time of contract execution. If located within Park City limits, a valid PCMC business license is required. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned.
