Hughes: Replace Roof - Phase I - Re-Solicitation

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking proposals for the replacement of approximately 237,817 square feet of roofing at the Hughes Unit in Gatesville, TX. The existing roofs have deteriorated, resulting in multiple leaks and damage to both the interior and exterior structures of the building. This project aims to install a new thermoplastic PVC roofing system to address these issues.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing the existing roofing with a new thermoplastic PVC roofing system over an area of approximately 237,817 square feet. The project includes:
- Removal of existing roofing materials
- Installation of new thermoplastic PVC roofing system
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and construction standards
- Conducting inspections and quality control measures throughout the project.

The estimated budget for this project is $15,439,200.00, which includes costs for materials, labor, overhead, and profit.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is set at 600 days from the date designated in the Notice to Proceed. Mobilization must begin within 30 days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with actual work commencing within 45 days.

The contract will be performed at the Hughes Unit located in Gatesville, Texas.
