Electrical Services at San Antonio State Hospital and San Antonio State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for as-needed electrical services at the San Antonio State Hospital Building 817 and the San Antonio State Supported Living Center. This IFB is administered by the Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC, which oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide repairs, service, parts, and materials to high voltage primary and secondary electrical systems at the San Antonio State Hospital Building 817. This includes:
- Furnishing all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the work.
- Performing repairs to high voltage systems including aerial lines and underground wiring.
- Providing daily documentation of work performed including total hours worked and materials used.
- Responding to emergency power outages within specified timeframes.
- Conducting predictive maintenance through thermographic and ultrasonic scanning of electrical equipment.
- Complying with applicable codes such as National Electrical Code (NFPA) and OSHA requirements while maintaining necessary permits and licenses.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with ongoing services required as needed throughout the contract term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the San Antonio State Hospital located at 6711 S New Braunfels Ave, San Antonio, TX 78223.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years relevant experience in electrical services. They must provide proof of a Texas Master Electrician license for their responsible individual. Additionally, all personnel must have appropriate licenses (Journeyman Electrician or higher) and undergo background checks. Bidders are also required to maintain an office in San Antonio/Bexar County.
