Acreage Tractor Mowing and Related Services

Background
The Houston City College System (HCC) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Acreage Tractor Mowing and Related Services. HCC aims to comply with state and federal laws while ensuring the maintenance of its campuses and properties. The college serves a diverse community, offering various educational programs and services across its 19 campuses.

Work Details
The contractor will perform general groundskeeping, specifically monthly bush-hog mowing across several HCC campuses, totaling approximately 192 acres. Services include:
1. Monthly mowing of designated areas to a uniform height of four inches.
2. Removal of all trash and debris prior to mowing; litter must not be mowed over.
3. Provision of necessary labor, materials, insurances, and equipment for the service.
4. Specific requirements for the Katy Campus include seasonal maintenance with two mowings per month during the growing season (March-October) and one mowing per month during the non-growing season (November-February).
5. The contractor must provide a list of equipment used for mowing in their proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract term is anticipated to be two years with options for three additional one-year renewals, plus a possible month-to-month extension not exceeding three months after the initial term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various HCC campuses located in Houston, Katy, Spring Branch, Alief Independent School Districts, Stafford Municipal District, and Fort Bend portion of Missouri City.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance including: Commercial General Liability ($1 million), Automobile Liability ($1 million), and Worker Compensation Insurance ($1 million). Additionally, bidders must submit a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ) regardless of conflicts.
