A&E Services for the CWRF Biosolids Expansion

Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking qualified architectural and engineering (A&E) firms to provide professional engineering design and construction phase services for the CWRF Biosolids Expansion Project.
This project aims to enhance the capacity of the Central Water Reclamation Facility (CWRF) Biosolids Facility, which plays a crucial role in managing waste services for an area serving over 700,000 residents.
The facility currently produces a dry pellet that meets USEPA standards and requires expansion to accommodate projected growth and restore redundancy in its processes.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive A&E services related to the CWRF Biosolids Expansion Project. This includes:
1. Engineering design services for the expansion of existing facilities, including four 0.23MG DAFTs, four 2.5 MG Digesters, and associated equipment such as centrifuges and drum dryers.
2. Construction phase services to oversee the implementation of design plans.
3. Development of a detailed project approach that addresses immediate needs identified in the Biosolids Master Plan completed in January 2024, which evaluated current loadings and projected future demands.
4. Coordination with Metro Water Services to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to span several months, with specific timelines for design completion and construction phases outlined in subsequent project schedules.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at the Central WRF Biosolids Facility located at 1810 Cement Plant Road, Nashville, TN.
