Williams Brice Stadium West Stands Renovation

Background
The University of South Carolina is undertaking the Williams-Brice Stadium West Stands Renovation project to enhance fan amenities and improve the overall stadium experience. This initiative aims to modernize the stadium facilities, particularly on the west side, and is part of a broader effort for future improvements across the stadium.

Work Details
The project involves architectural and engineering services for Phase I design and estimating services related to renovations and new construction of approximately 200,000 – 250,000 square feet of fan amenity space. Key components include:

- Substantial demolition and reconstruction activities
- Creation of new premium club and suite options
- Modifications to the lower bowl seating area
- Renovation of west main and ground levels
- Upgrades to north endzone facilities
- Installation of restrooms, food service areas, HVAC systems, electrical systems, fire sprinkler/fire alarm systems
- Premium interior finishes
- Detailed analysis of sight lines
- Upgrades to vertical circulation
- Elevated structural work
- Rework of stadium seating components.

Coordination with sound system and video/ribbon board designers is required as existing components will be affected by this work.

Period of Performance
Work is expected to occur between the 2025/2026 and the 2026/2027 football seasons. The selected firm will complete the Phase I process within a 4 to 5 month timeframe while assisting with the selection process.
