Background
The Rhode Island Army National Guard (RIARNG) is seeking vendors for the installation of a new water supply from the Kent County Water Authority (KCWA) to the RIARNG Readiness Center located in Coventry, RI. The goal of this contract is to ensure a reliable water supply while decommissioning the existing RIARNG pump station, three water supply wells, and an underground storage tank.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Installation of a new water supply line from KCWA to the RIARNG Readiness Center.
2. Decommissioning of the existing RIARNG pump station, three water supply wells, and an underground storage tank.
3. The project includes allowances for SCADA system installation ($150,000) and police detail for traffic control ($30,000).
4. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,200 per day for delays beyond substantial completion.
Period of Performance
The construction is set to begin immediately upon receipt of the purchase order. Substantial completion is expected within 18 months, with final completion within 15 days thereafter.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of their cost proposal.
