Washington Street Resurfacing - Bank Street to 2nd Street

Background
The Borough of East Greenville, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is seeking proposals for the 'Washington Street Resurfacing – Bank Street to 2nd Street' project. The purpose of this project is to enhance the roadway infrastructure within the borough, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for residents and visitors.

The project aims to mill the existing roadway and apply a new wearing course to improve road conditions.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Milling the existing roadway;
- Placement of approximately 3,900 square yards (SY) of 9.5 mm wearing course on Washington Street between Bank Street and 2nd Street;
- Placement of approximately 170 tons of a leveling scratch course;
- Incidental items such as sweeping, preparation, and joint sealing around curbs, manholes, inlets, and valve boxes.

The contractor must adhere to all current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed within thirty (30) calendar days from the date specified in the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on Washington Street between Bank Street and 2nd Street in East Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a certified check or bid bond amounting to ten percent (10%) of their bid. Successful bidders are required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds at one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with an approved corporate surety.

Bidders do not need to be prequalified by PennDOT but must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding non-discrimination in employment.
