Snow Removal 2025/2026

Background
Penn Forest Township (PFT) is seeking qualified vendors to provide snow removal services for approximately 25 miles of township roads during the winter season of 2025/2026. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. The contract may be renewed for up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:

1. Remove snow from all township roads upon call from the Road Master or Assistant Road Master.
2. Apply salt as necessary to maintain an ice-free surface.
3. All salt and anti-skid materials will be supplied by the township, with laborers loading materials onto vehicles.
4. Contractors must respond within one hour of receiving a call for snow removal; failure to do so on three occasions may result in contract termination.
5. Compliance with all local municipality ordinances regarding snow removal is mandatory.
6. Equipment requirements include either:
- One 8-ton dump truck with a 9-foot plow blade and a 2-ton salt spreader, or
- Two 2-ton dump trucks with an 8-foot plow blade and a 2-ton salt spreader.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence in the winter season of 2025/2026 and may be renewed for up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Snow removal services will be performed on all township roads within Penn Forest Township.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide:

1. Three local references for similar projects.
2. Required insurance information, including coverage limits:
- Commercial General Liability: $2,000,000 aggregate limit, $1,000,000 each occurrence.
- Automobile Liability: $500,000 combined single limit.
- Workers Compensation: Statutory limits.
3. A minimum of either:
- One 8-ton dump truck with a 9-foot plow blade and a 2-ton salt spreader, or
- Two 2-ton dump trucks with an 8-foot plow blade and a 2-ton salt spreader.
4. Proof of business operation duration and contact number available 24/7.
