Proposal No. 26-G209 Rustin HS Roof Refurbishment

Background
The West Chester Area School District in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is soliciting sealed bids for the Roof Refurbishment Project at Bayard Rustin High School. The goal of this contract is to refurbish the roofing system of the school, ensuring it meets current standards and provides adequate protection against weather elements.

Work Details
The project involves the following key components:

1. Provide a cold-fluid-applied polyurethane roofing/waterproofing system over existing EPDM Membrane Roof on structural concrete, plywood sheathing, cover board, metal or other substrates.

2. Include 15% insulation, cover board and EPDM membrane replacement for three specified roof areas: Area 1A, Area 4, and Area 5. Each area will require specific attention to ensure proper installation and adherence to safety standards.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after June 13, 2026, with substantial completion required by August 5, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Bayard Rustin High School located at 1100 Shiloh Rd, West Chester, PA 19380.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years’ experience in similar public-school construction or renovation projects. They should not have any school project within the last three years that was completed more than three months beyond the contract required substantial completion date. Bidders must provide a list of at least three projects of similar size and scope using specified manufacturer’s products and must not have been terminated from previous projects.
