Background
The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, CI Smithfield, is seeking to procure a Kaeser 7.5HP Rotary Screw Compressor. This equipment is essential for operating a laser engraver and various hand tools within the facility. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of reliable compressed air systems to support operational needs.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following items:
- Kaeser SX 7.5 Rotary Screw Compressor with specifications:
- Discharge Pressure: 125 psig
- Capacity: 28.3 cfm
- Drive Motor: 7.5hp
- Drive Motor Efficiency: 89.5%
- Noise Level: 66 dB(A)
- Electrical Requirements: 208/230/460V/3Ph/60Hz
- Cooling Method: Air-Cooled
- Kaeser TBH 14 Refrigerated Air Dryer
- A 120 Gallon tank
- Additional parts necessary for startup and installation, including but not limited to ball valves, compressed air filters, pressure gauges, etc., which should be quoted as a lump sum with a detailed breakdown provided in an attachment.
- Delivery services including all rigging or other services required to offload, spot, and secure the equipment in the milling department, ensuring it is in a 'ready-to-run' state. All delivery and freight charges must be included in the quoted price. The contractor will also remove and dispose of old equipment.
- Startup services that include installation, testing, and training for three personnel; CI Smithfield will provide all necessary electrical connections.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed upon award and is expected to include delivery and installation within a specified timeframe as outlined in the solicitation.
Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to the CI warehouse at SCI Huntingdon located at 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Huntingdon, PA 16654.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Executive Order 2021-06 regarding worker protection and safety laws in Pennsylvania. They must submit the Worker Protections and Investment Certification Form (BOP-2201) along with their bid. All vendors or subcontractors utilizing regular delivery transportation must submit clearance checks for all drivers. Additionally, contractors must complete and upload the Reciprocal Limitations Form, Worker Protection Form, and Domestic Workforce Utilization Form.
