Background
The Forest Grove Warehouse & Fire Cache Siding & Window Replacement Project is initiated by the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) to replace the siding, windows, and select doors on their warehouse and fire cache buildings. The goal of this project is to ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of these facilities while adhering to safety regulations regarding asbestos and lead paint.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Remove existing cladding and replace it with fiber cement cladding on the warehouse and fire cache buildings.

2. Remove existing windows and replace them with vinyl windows on both buildings.

3. Remove select doors in the warehouse building and replace them with new ones.

The project includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, permits, and services necessary for completion as outlined in Attachment A - Specifications and Attachment B - Plans. It is important to note that select windows have tested positive for asbestos-containing materials; therefore, all windows should be treated as such. Additionally, the buildings have tested positive for lead paint; compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding lead paint is required.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence 7 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is expected by August 28th, 2026, with final completion due by September 11th, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Forest Grove Warehouse & Fire Cache located at 801 Gales Creek Rd., Forest Grove, Oregon.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in OregonBuys to submit a bid. They are required to provide a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of their total offer amount. Additionally, bidders must comply with BOLI prevailing wage rate requirements and provide proof of insurance within 7 calendar days after notification of intent to award.
