Background
Cornell University is seeking proposals from consultants to provide limited re-design, construction documents, bidding, construction administration, and close out for a multi-phased renovation of Rice Hall at the Ithaca, New York campus. Rice Hall was originally designed by Green & Wicks and constructed in 1912. The three-story, 31,415 GSF building has received limited renovations and requires a complete restoration and gut interior renovation.
Work Details
The services indicated shall include, but not be limited to: Design Phase to include abbreviated program verification, review of existing Construction Documents for completeness and compliance, MEP strategy, 50% CD and 90% CD phase.
Bid and Construction Administration – phase 1 (Abatement, exterior envelope restoration and window replacement, framing for future openings, site utility lateral connections).
Bid and Construction Administration – phase 2 (Interior MEP and FP systems, finishes, A/V, security, and exterior site restoration).
Close out and record documents for all phases.
