Background
The City of Rensselaer is issuing a contract for the South Street Bridge Replacement over Mill Creek, located in Rensselaer County, New York. This project aims to replace the existing bridge and improve the surrounding infrastructure. It is a Federal Aid Project that requires adherence to NYSDOT Standard Specifications finalized on January 1, 2026.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means necessary for the completion of the bridge replacement project. The work includes but is not limited to:
- Installation of sidewalks (approximately 3,500 ft)
- Signing and striping including crosswalks
- Pedestrian traffic signal upgrades
- Drainage modifications
- Resurfacing of roads

There are no M/WBE or SDVOB goals for this project. The EEO Employment goals are set at 3.2% for Minority Employment and 6.9% for Women Employment. Bidders must comply with Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses and pay prevailing wage rates. All bidders must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to contract award.
