Snow Plowing and Ice Removal at South Campus

Background
The University at Buffalo is seeking snow plowing and ice removal services at its South Campus location on 3435 Main Street. The contractor will be responsible for providing these services on an as-needed basis when two inches of snow or ice accumulates. The contract term is one year with the option to renew for four one-year terms. The mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST at Clark Gym Parking Lot, 120 Hayes Road, Buffalo, NY 14214.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing snow and ice from parking lots and surrounding sidewalks, loading docks as shown in Appendix A. This can be done by mechanical or manual means.

The Contractor must pay special attention to keep handicapped accessible areas and trash/recycling areas clear from piled or accumulated snow and ice. Snow must be hauled away from the sites to Locations in Appendix A or Contractor’s own locations, when there is excessive snowfall, or as requested by the Contract Manager.

Period of Performance
The contract term is one year with the option to renew for four one-year terms upon mutual written agreement.

Either party may give notice of intention to renew by written notice ninety days before the termination date.

Place of Performance
The services are required at the University at Buffalo South Campus located at 3435 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.
