Sodium Hypochlorite Supply

Background
The City of Santa Fe, NM, Public Utilities Department, Wastewater Management Division is seeking bids for the supply and delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite solution. This contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of this chemical for use at the Paseo Real Wastewater Reclamation Facility located at 73 Paseo Real, Santa Fe, NM 87507.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Sodium Hypochlorite solution with the following specifications:

1. Trade Name: 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite Solution
2. Concentration: Minimum 12.5% by weight, maximum 15.6% by weight
3. Chemical Formula: NaOCl
4. Appearance: Clear, light yellow-green liquid
5. pH: Minimum 11.2
6. Specific Gravity: Minimum 1.20, Maximum 1.25
7. Freezing Point: Less than 10°F
8. Solution Weight: Between 10.0 to 10.4 pounds per gallon
9. Product must be filtered and able to offload through a 40-mesh strainer.
10. Maximum insoluble matter: 30 mg/L retained on a 0.45µm filter.
11. Maximum Sodium Hydroxide content: 1.5% by weight.
12. Maximum Copper content: 0.5 ppm.
13. Maximum Nickel content: 0.5 ppm.
14. Maximum Iron content: 1 ppm.

The City will order shipments via email and expects deliveries between normal business hours (7 AM - 4 PM) unless otherwise arranged for emergencies where delivery is required within 24 hours after an emergency order is placed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a term of four (4) years from the date of final approval signature.

Place of Performance
All deliveries will be made to the Paseo Real Wastewater Reclamation Facility located at 73 Paseo Real, Santa Fe, NM 87507.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding procurement and must submit a valid New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax Identification Number (NMBTIN). The contractor must maintain appropriate insurance coverage as required by the City and provide proof of compliance prior to contract execution.
