Background
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Winnipesaukee River Basin Program (WRBP) is responsible for operating the regional wastewater collection system serving 10 communities in the Lakes region. The WRBP is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide lawn maintenance services for eleven facilities located in Laconia, Belmont, Franklin, and Gilford.
Work Details
The contractor will provide lawn maintenance services including mowing, trimming, and fall clean-up (debris/leaf removal) at the following WRBP facilities:
1. Maintenance Shop/Winnisquam Pump Station Compound: 202 Water Street, Laconia - Mowing inside and outside the fenced area; trimming along structures.
2. Wastewater Treatment Plant: 528 River Street, Franklin - Fall debris cleanup inside and outside the fence.
3. Ellacoya Pump Station: 280 Scenic Drive, Gilford - Mowing inside fenced area; trimming around building and fence.
4. Gilford Pump Station: 74 Weirs Road, Gilford - Mowing between trees; trimming around pads and wellheads.
5. Pendleton Beach Pump Station: 67 Pendleton Beach Road, Laconia - Mowing to woods surrounding the station; trimming required.
6. Maiden Lady Cove Pump Station: 763 Scenic Drive, Laconia - Mowing defined by gravel driveway and trees; trimming required.
7. North Main Pump Station: 1539 Old North Main Street, Laconia - Mowing inside fenced area; trimming required around building.
8. State School Pump Station: Ahern Park at 43 Great Bay Lane, Laconia - Mowing inside fenced area; trimming required.
9. Jewett Brook Pump Station: 73 Strafford Street, Laconia - Mowing defined by surrounding streets; trimming required.
10. Paugus Pump Station: 29 Paugus Park Road, Laconia - Mowing inside and outside the fence to railroad tracks; trimming required.
11. Belmont Pump Station: 74 South Road, Belmont - Mowing inside fence; trimming around building and pads.
The contractor must maintain lawns to avoid negative attention and perform services at least every other week during growing seasons with a maximum of 15 events per fiscal year for all locations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029.
Place of Performance

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be registered and in good standing with the New Hampshire Secretary of State's Office to process a contract. They must also provide a current Certificate of Good Standing dated after April 1, 2026 and have a current State of NH vendor code.
