Background
The University of North Dakota (UND) is seeking to enhance its research capabilities by acquiring advanced equipment for detailed behavior tracking. The goal of this contract is to procure the Noldus PhenoTyper system, which includes EthoVision XT tracking software, to provide a comprehensive view of animal behaviors in a research setting. This initiative aligns with UND's mission to advance behavioral research through improved monitoring technologies.

Work Details
The contract involves the purchase of 16 PhenoTyper units, 4 licenses of EthoVision XT software, and 3 years of NoldusCare support. The PhenoTyper system allows researchers to observe animal behavior in their home environment, minimizing handling that can alter typical behaviors. Unlike other systems, it features a built-in camera for constant monitoring and supports various behavioral tests by changing modular walls within the enclosure. This capability is essential for collecting diverse behavioral data across multiple testing devices used in the UND Behavioral Research Core Facility.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed following the response deadline on December 2, 2024. Delivery and installation are expected shortly thereafter as per procurement timelines.

Place of Performance
The equipment will be delivered and utilized at the University of North Dakota located at 1301 Ralph Engelstad Arena Drive, Grand Forks, ND 58202.
