Background
Wake County Social Services (WCSS) is seeking proposals from qualified agencies to provide paraprofessional In-Home Aide Services to identified Adult Protective Services (APS) clients. The goal of this program is to assist adults who meet eligibility criteria and can maintain their health, safety, and well-being at home with appropriate services. APS clients may have functional disabilities or be in need of protective services due to abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Approximately 75% of the current caseload requires Level II services.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide essential home management tasks, personal care tasks, and supervision for adults and their families in Wake County. The specific services include:
1. Level I - Home Management Care;
2. Level II - Home Management and Personal Care;
3. Level III - Personal Care;
4. Priority staffing for Adult Protective Services cases referred by WCSS staff, including a nurse visit within 48 hours of referral and an assessment for services within 72 hours.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to begin on July 1, 2026.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed throughout Wake County.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate relevant experience in providing similar services, including a detailed company background, staffing information, response times for referrals, and the ability to conduct quarterly assessments of clients' needs. Proposers must also comply with insurance requirements including Workers' Compensation Insurance, Commercial General Liability, and Cyber Liability Insurance.
