Hubbard-Totton Building Elevator Replacement at NC Central University

Background
The Hubbard-Totton Building Elevator Replacement project is initiated by NC Central University. It aims to enhance the functionality and safety of the building's elevator system. The project seeks to provide updated engineering and architectural services to ensure compliance with current building codes and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design documents for the removal of the existing elevator and installation of a refurbished elevator at the Hubbard-Totton Building. Key tasks include:
- Design Development to verify field conditions and prepare preliminary plans.
- Preparation of complete construction drawings and specifications for submission to the State Construction Office (SCO) for review.
- Development of elevator and interior finish specifications, elevator data, and AutoCAD floor plans based on available drawings or scanned PDFs.
- Providing probable cost estimates for both design development and construction document phases.
- Conducting construction administration activities including pre-bid and pre-construction meetings, submittal and RFI review, final punch list creation, and project closeout documentation. Access to previously completed design plans will be made available upon request.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be performed from the date of award until project completion, with a closing date for proposals set for February 24, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at NC Central University located at 1801 Fayetteville Street, Durham, NC 27707.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be licensed in the State of North Carolina to offer architectural or engineering services in response to this solicitation.
