Golf Cart Rental Services for NC State Fair

Background
The NC State Fair, a division of the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, seeks to secure an agency contract for the rental of golf carts to be used during the annual State Fair.
The goal is to provide necessary transportation solutions for fair operations.

Work Details
The contract involves the rental of golf carts/utility vehicles that must meet specific requirements:

1) Carts must be equal to or greater than Carryall 500 (with Cargo Bed), Club Car Precedent i2 4 passenger, or Club Car Carryall 700 (large cargo bed).

2) Carts should have a 4-cycle, air-cooled, 11-13 HP gasoline engine with forward and reverse capabilities, including a standard backup alarm.

3) All carts must have windshields and tops.

4) Carts should be equipped with lights for night use.

5) Each cart shall have a turning radius not exceeding 9.5 feet.

6) Carts must start and move forward or reverse in one step operation.

7) Delivery is required at the NC State Fairgrounds, with a pre-delivery notice of twenty-four hours to the Contract Administrator.

8) A mechanic must be available within twenty-four hours for repairs, with replacements made within the same timeframe if necessary.

9) The vendor shall furnish all necessary parts, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies required to deliver golf carts ready for use at the NC State Fair.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will have an initial term of three years.
Golf carts must be delivered by October 7, 2024, and removed by October 30, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the NC State Fairgrounds located at 4285 Trinity Rd., Raleigh, NC 27607.
