BMW Motorcycles Purchase

Background
The State of North Carolina, through the State Highway Patrol, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract for the purchase of BMW Motorcycles. The Highway Patrol has operated a fleet of BMW R-series motorcycles for over twenty years and aims to continue this practice to support their operational needs. This contract will allow the agency to procure motorcycles on an 'as needed' basis during the contract term.

Work Details
The contract involves furnishing and delivering 8 units of 2026 BMW R 1300 RT-P motorcycles. Specifications include:
- Engine: 1300 cc air-/liquid-cooled flat twin engine
- Transmission: Six-speed gearbox
- Color: Night Black (716)

Factory Options include:
- Additional LED Headlights (driving lights) (562)
- Dynamic Package (235)
- Rider Assistant Safety Package (5AS)

Standard Order Deck includes the US Authority Package with features such as a BMW Electronic Siren, Weather Protection, Tire Pressure Monitors, Heated Seat, and Cruise Control. Dealer Installed Options consist of a BMW Battery Charger and Motorcycle Charging Plug. Additional Accessories include an FMS Standard Emergency Lighting Package, Radio Receiver Saddlebag Relocation Kit, Radio Power Connection Plug Code A, Laptop Pivot Mount with Printer Enc, and Laptop Power Relay Harness.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of three (3) years starting from the date of final contract execution.

Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to NC State Highway Patrol located at 1300 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in good standing with North Carolina's Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). They must provide evidence of authorization from the manufacturer to distribute or resell the products offered. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing small and minority-owned businesses as subcontractors.
