Request for Proposal- Construction Management Services

Background
Jackson Public Schools is seeking construction management services for a bond estimated between $85-100 million. The bond will be sold in 2 series, with the amounts and date of sale to be determined later. One known project is to provide air conditioning to multiple buildings within the district, with the full scope of bond projects to be determined at a later date by a bond development committee.

Work Details
The selected firm will be required to provide full construction management services for the entire program, from pre-bond scope/estimating through final warranty walk completion. The services include preliminary bond application, design phase, construction phase, technical services, estimating capabilities, and project personnel.
The firm must also explain their approach and controls, experience in K-12 educational projects, and their financial position. Additionally, they need to describe their project approach and controls, scope of services and compensation.

Period of Performance
The RFP release is scheduled for 4/15/2024. The questions are due by 4/22/2024 at 1:00 P.M., and will be answered by 4/26/2024 at 3:00 P.M. Proposals are due by 5/6/2024 at 3:00 P.M., with the bid opening on the same day at 3:15 P.M. The short list will be announced on 5/13/2024. The board interviews are tentatively scheduled for 6/10/2024, and the board award is set for 6/18/2024 at 6:00 P.M.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Jackson Public Schools located at Office of the Superintendent, 522 Wildwood Ave, Jackson, MI 49201.
