Background
The Tawas Area Schools, located at 245 W. M-55, Tawas, MI 48763, is seeking proposals from certified contractors for a partial roof replacement project. The goal of this contract is to install a new roofing system to enhance the infrastructure of the school facilities.
Work Details
The project involves the installation of a new Duro Last Roof System specifically on Areas E & I of the Tawas Area Schools. Additionally, bidders are requested to provide alternate pricing for Area K.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walkthrough will take place on February 12, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Maintenance Garage located at 255 W. M-55, Tawas, MI 48763. Bid packages will be distributed during this meeting.
Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins after the bid opening on February 27, 2026, and will continue until the completion of the roofing installation as specified in the bid documents.
