FAC126 Destruction and Disposal of Medical Records/ Building records from Hospital Annex

Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Mental Health Southeast Area, specifically the John C. Corrigan Mental Health Center located in Fall River, MA. The goal of this contract is to provide a secure and compliant process for the destruction and disposal of medical records and building records from the Hospital Annex, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and state agency approvals.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the destruction and disposal of approximately 1000 boxes of medical records and miscellaneous building records. The work includes:
- A secure process to destroy and recycle paper files, records, tapes, and other media.
- Handling boxes that are contaminated with mold and building materials.
- Obtaining prior approval from the State Agency for the destruction of all records.
- Providing personnel equipped with proper PPE for hazardous conditions.
- Submitting a detailed plan including the number of personnel, equipment needed, and an overall plan for completion.
- Ensuring all personnel have credentials to handle medical records and comply with HIPAA regulations during destruction.
- Providing proof of destruction upon completion, including documentation of the total number of boxes destroyed.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed prior to June 30, 2026.

The contract will be performed at the John C. Corrigan Mental Health Center located at 49 Hillside Avenue, Fall River, MA.

Bidder Requirements
