Broom and Mop Supply - DOC -PE

Background
The Louisiana Department of Corrections - Prison Enterprises is seeking to establish a Blanket Order for the supply of Broom and Mop Supplies. The goal of this contract is to provide essential cleaning supplies for the agency's operations, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene within correctional facilities. The contract will be awarded by the Office of State Procurement.

Work Details
The contractor will supply the following items:

1. **Mop Handles**: 9,750 units of White Pine Handle Mop Handles (Brand/Model: Whitley WHM-11854 or Equal), dimensions 1 1/8" x 54", made from mill run, chucked and bored premium wood, finished with two coats of clear lacquer, packed in bundles of 36.

2. **Broom Handles**: 1,000 units of Tapered Broom Handles (Brand/Model: Whitley #WHM-151672 or Equal), dimensions 15/16" x 72", made from mill run, threaded Grade 'A' wood, finished with two coats of clear lacquer, packed in bundles of 50.

3. **Cotton Mop Yarn**: 24,750 lbs of Cotton Mop Yarn (Brand/Model: Jones Yarn 5000040042-035 or Equal), consisting of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, Type 81, 4-ply, hard twist, packed in clear waterproof packages with each roll weighing 80 lbs and marked clearly. Each pallet should average 12 rolls.

Period of Performance
The initial period for this contract begins upon award and ends on December 31, 2026. The State has the option to renew the contract for two additional twelve-month periods at the same prices. The total contract duration shall not exceed thirty-six months.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the Louisiana State Penitentiary located at 17544 Tunica Trace, Angola, LA 70712.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid. They must include a W-9 form if newly registered. All products supplied must conform to applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Bidders are required to certify compliance with civil rights laws and must not discriminate in employment practices.
