Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this solicitation for the Department of Military Affairs to provide construction services related to underground electric work at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center in Greenville, Kentucky.
The goal of this contract is to replace a portion of the existing overhead primary electric with underground primary electric and to enhance electrical services to various buildings on the site.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Provide raceways for KU installed underground primary electric to replace a portion of the existing overhead primary electric.
2. Rework secondary electrical services to indicated buildings to receive power from the underground primary electric system.
3. Install KU furnished pull boxes and single-phase transformer bases.
4. Provide concrete pads for three-phase transformers.
5. Provide raceways for KU provided site lighting fixtures.
6. Provide a pad mounted recloser near the existing generator and connect it to the existing SCADA control system.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by July 24, 2025.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center located at 4675 State Route 181 North, Greenville, KY 42345.
