WDS SS Improvements to serve Arvada Second Addition

Background
The City of Wichita is seeking bids for construction services to improve the Water Distribution System and Sanitary Sewer Improvements to serve the Arvada Second Addition. This project is part of the Public Works & Utilities Department's mission to enhance infrastructure and ensure reliable utility services for the community.

Work Details
The contract includes various construction tasks, categorized into lump sum and measured quantity bid items. Key tasks include:
- Site Clearing (1 LS)
- Site Restoration (1 LS)
- Temporary Seeding (1 LS)
- Installation of 8" Water Lines (3312 LF) and 8" DICL Pipe (105 LF)
- Fire Hydrant Assembly (3 EA) and Fire Hydrant Relocation (2 EA)
- Various Valve Assemblies including Air Release (1 EA), 8" (11 EA), Anchored 8" Special (1 EA), and Blowoff (5 EA)
- Manhole Adjustments and Standard SS Manholes (9 EA)
- Installation of SS Pipe, Riser Assemblies, Flowable Fill, BMP Construction Entrance, and Air Testing for SS Pipe.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence 30 calendar days after contract award and must be completed within 35 working days from the start date.

Place of Performance
The project will take place in the Arvada Second Addition area, located south of 37th St N & west of 119th St W in Wichita, Kansas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years' experience in similar services, be registered with the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office before contract execution, possess necessary licenses, and have capacity for required bonds and insurance. Bidders are encouraged to include emerging and disadvantaged business participation.
