Work Details
The contractor will organize and execute a county-wide community E-waste collection event from April 23, 2026, to May 2, 2026. The event will occur at the Sedgwick County West Yard, located at 4701 S. West St., Wichita, KS. Specific requirements include:
1. Collaborating with county staff to set up the collection site by 5:00 PM every Wednesday during the event.
2. Providing qualified workers for the event and specifying their number.
3. Supplying all necessary equipment such as trucks, trailers, gaylords, pallets, and forklifts.
4. Ensuring all collected e-waste is removed from the site by the following Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
5. Recycling all electronic equipment at compliant facilities and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
6. Maintaining documentation of hazardous component removal and recycling processes.
7. Accepting a wide range of electronic items including computers, televisions, batteries, and more.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon Board of County Commissioners approval and will last for one year.
