Provide Urban Forestry Services

Background
The City and County of Honolulu is seeking qualified contractors to provide Urban Forestry Services. The mission of this contract is to ensure the maintenance, care, and management of urban trees within the city, contributing to public safety, environmental health, and aesthetic value. The goal is to establish a list of qualified contractors who can be contacted for quotes on an as-needed basis for various urban forestry services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of services including:

- Tree pruning services
- Tree planting services
- Tree removal services
- Tree maintenance services
- Chemical application services
- Root trimming and removal services
- Brush clearing
- Mangrove and stream clearing
- Additional debris disposal
- Emergency work related to disaster preparation and relief.

Emergency work includes coordination with city agencies before and after emergencies, compliance with all relevant regulations for debris removal, processing vegetative materials, and hauling them to designated sites. The contractor must also provide fixed price itemized quotations for these services based on the pricing provided in Appendix C: Pricing/Certifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified term as outlined in Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work. Specific timelines for individual tasks will be determined through Delivery Orders (DO) issued by the City.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the City and County of Honolulu.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must hold a current 'C27b' Tree trimming and removal contractor license from the State of Hawaii. They must also be compliant with the State of Hawaii Compliance Express System or submit required tax clearances and certificates from various state departments. Additionally, contractors are required to have trained personnel in wildlife protection and invasive species management.
