Background
The Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH), through its Family Health Services Division and Maternal and Child Health Branch, is seeking proposals for community-level home visitor recognition events. This initiative aims to honor 50 years of home visiting in Hawaii, celebrating the contributions of home visitors to maternal and child health outcomes.

The Home Visiting Services Unit (HVSU) supports a network known as the Your ‘Ohana Network (YON), which provides essential resources and skills to at-risk families. The recognition events are intended to enhance the effectiveness of YON by acknowledging the work of home visitors and promoting awareness about available services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing community-level recognition events that celebrate 50 years of home visiting in Hawaii. Specific tasks include:
1. Collaborating with DOH, MCHB, and HVSU to provide a detailed proposal for the event(s).
2. Ensuring event logistics align with the proposal, including:
- Coordinating with local partners and legislators.
- Promoting the event within local networks.
3. Following DOH nutrition guidelines for hospitality services.
4. Submitting an invoice within 45 days post-event completion.

Period of Performance
The contract period will extend from May 27, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The events will take place in various locations across Hawaii as determined by the contractor's proposal.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
1. Licensing to conduct business in Hawaii.
2. Being a recipient of Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) federal funding for services in Hawaii at the time of bid submission.
3. Having an office located in Hawaii at contract award time.
4. Compliance with all relevant state and federal statutes.
5. A minimum of five years' experience in coordinating meetings/events and prior experience working with state health departments or similar agencies.
