Radon Outreach and Testing

Background
The Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority (GHURA) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP GHURA-25-002) for Radon Outreach and Testing. This initiative is funded by HUD and aims to address radon exposure in housing, ensuring the safety and health of residents in Guam.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for conducting outreach and education on radon testing, as well as performing radon testing in residential properties. Specific tasks may include:

1. Developing educational materials about radon risks and testing procedures.
2. Conducting community workshops to inform residents about radon.
3. Providing radon test kits to homeowners and assisting with the testing process.
4. Analyzing test results and providing feedback to homeowners regarding their radon levels.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that aligns with the project goals. Proposals are due by May 27, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in various residential locations throughout Guam.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid guarantee of 15% of the total base bid amount, secured by an authorized surety company or through certified checks or bank drafts. For contracts exceeding $100,000, a performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract price is required. Contractors must comply with non-discrimination laws regarding employment practices.
