Background
This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of public roads. The goal of this contract is to provide Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement, and Miscellaneous Maintenance Services in District 6. Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors through GDOT's prequalification process are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid/Request for Quote.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for performing prep work, removal, installation, and cleanup for drainage rehabilitation and maintenance services. Specific tasks include:
1. Digging and replacing pipes at specified locations (e.g., Carroll County SR 61 - Dig & Replace 1 Pipe; Paulding County SR 61 - Jack or Bore 1 Pipe).
2. Providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control, and incidentals.
3. Ensuring compliance with GDOT specifications including excavation and backfill requirements.
4. Constructing headwalls at each location as per standard drawings.
5. Implementing a traffic control plan that adheres to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
6. Notifying utility companies for marking prior to commencing work.
Period of Performance
Work must begin no later than 30 days after the Prework Meeting and must be completed no later than 150 days after the Prework Meeting.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed in District 6 of Georgia, specifically along State Routes including Carroll County SR 61 and Paulding County SR 61.
Bidder Requirements
Only contractors who have been awarded a Maintenance Master Services Agreement (MMSA) through GDOT's prequalification process are eligible to bid. Contractors must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering with the federal work authorization program E-Verify. Additionally, they must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the MMSA.
