DCSD SN26-006 Paper and Chemical Supplies

Background
The Douglas County School System (DCSS) is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide and deliver a variety of paper products and chemical supplies for its School Nutrition Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the DCSS can effectively serve approximately 32,000 meals per day across 32 schools and the Central Office, with an estimated annual expenditure of $750,000.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision and delivery of various paper products and chemical supplies necessary for the operation of the School Nutrition Department. Respondents must adhere to specifications outlined in the RFP, including providing detailed descriptions of each item offered, including manufacturer's name and model number.

Respondents are required to furnish specifications and complete descriptive literature with their bids if offering substitute or alternate items. The successful respondent will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to school kitchens as per the established schedule.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon notice to proceed on April 27, 2026, and will terminate on June 30, 2027, with options for renewal for additional one-year terms not exceeding five years.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to 32 schools and the Central Office located in Douglas County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must be registered to do business in Georgia and provide evidence of registration with their bid. They must meet minimum requirements for liability insurance and worker’s compensation coverage as specified in the RFP. Additionally, respondents must have at least five years of experience in similar projects preferably with public school systems.

All services provided must be performed by direct employees or principals of the firm; subcontracting is not permitted.
