Background
Hall County, Georgia, Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified vendors to provide cleaning and repair services for firefighting turnout gear. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the firefighting gear meets safety standards and remains in optimal condition for use by emergency responders.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive services including: visual inspection, advanced inspection (moisture barrier testing, thermal liner assessment, seam integrity checks), PPE rental, backup gear availability, routine and advanced cleaning using NFPA-approved detergents, and repairs compliant with NFPA standards.
Specific tasks include general repairs, Velcro replacements, trim adjustments, reinforcement work, hardware replacements, liner repairs, and modifications such as alterations and retrofits. All cleaning and repair work must meet NFPA 1851 and NFPA 1971 standards. The vendor must be located within a 50-mile radius or offer pickup/delivery services.
In emergency situations, cleaned or repaired gear must be returned within 48 hours. Documentation for all cleaning or repair work performed is required.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will remain in effect until June 30, 2027. There are options for four (4) one-year renewals under the same terms and conditions.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the contractor's facility within a 50-mile radius of Hall County or through pickup/delivery arrangements.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed, insured, and bonded in the State of Georgia. They must have experience in providing similar services and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Bidders are required to submit a total of three hard copies of their bid response along with various forms including Exhibit A (Bid Response Form), Exhibit B (Contract for Services), Exhibit C (Cost Proposal Worksheet), W-9 Form, E-Verify Affidavit, Ethics Affidavit, business license copy, insurance certificate, and any professional licenses or certifications.
