CITB-0002-26, Southeast Athletic Complex Dog Park

Background
The City of Stonecrest is seeking a qualified and experienced Design-Build Firm (DBF) for a fixed project to design and construct a dog park at the Southeast Athletic Complex. This project aims to enhance community recreational facilities in Stonecrest, which has a population of approximately 60,000 and was incorporated in 2017. The City is located in Dekalb County, Georgia, and is committed to improving local infrastructure through projects funded by Special Purpose Local Optional Tax (SPLOST) funds.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the design, construction, and installation of various features at the dog park including:

- Fencing: approximately 1,050 linear feet of 5 ft. tall black chain link fencing
- Three walk gates with spring-loaded closers
- Installation of a water fountain connected to an existing water line
- Access sidewalks
- Ground cover including TIFTUF Bermuda sod
- Trees for shade: three black gum trees
- Park amenities such as benches, pet waste stations, leash posts, trash receptacles, and signage.

The contractor must also perform site preparation tasks such as clearing existing ground cover and installing erosion controls. All work must comply with applicable regulations including ADA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within 10 calendar days of receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must be completed within 180 days from receipt of the Purchase Order. Substantial completion is required within 120 days after the NTP.

Place of Performance
The project will take place at the Southeast Athletic Complex located at 5845 Hillvale Road, Stonecrest, GA 30058.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount along with their proposal. They are required to maintain all necessary licenses and certifications throughout the duration of the project. Additionally, bidders must ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
