Background
The University of Florida (UF) is a major public land-grant and sea-grant research university, recognized for its academic diversity and extensive research capabilities. UF is seeking proposals for a complete object storage solution to enhance its data management capabilities. The goal of this contract is to provide a robust, highly available, and redundant storage system that meets the university's operational needs across multiple datacenters.

Work Details
The vendor will provide a complete object storage solution that includes hardware, software, support, installation, and professional services. The proposal must include:

1. Production deployment at two on-premises datacenters located 8 km apart with 99.99% uptime and no single points of failure.

2. A scaled lab environment for testing software upgrades and failover procedures.

3. A detailed professional services statement of work for installation and configuration.

4. Storage capacity growth quotes for production deployment (25% increase) as needed.

5. Maintenance and support extension quotes for all components during option years.

6. A test platform mirroring the proposed system for evaluation purposes, with a five-day hands-on access requirement.

7. Technical specifications provided in the Object Storage Feature List spreadsheet, including required and desired features evaluated on a true/false basis or based on performance exceeding minimum requirements.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will be for five years from the date of award, with options to renew for up to two additional one-year periods based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the University of Florida's facilities, specifically across two on-premises datacenters located eight kilometers apart.
