Janitorial Maintenance Services

Background
The City of Coral Gables, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive Janitorial Maintenance Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of City facilities, aligning with the mission of the City to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:
- Routine janitorial cleaning at City facilities, including nightly cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Daytime porter services to maintain cleanliness while facilities are in use.
- Additional services such as carpet cleaning, stripping and refinishing of floors, high-pressure cleaning, painting, degreasing concrete floors, water extraction, graffiti removal, electrostatic disinfection services, and other specialized cleaning services.

The contractor must furnish all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and any other necessary items to perform these tasks. Supervisory personnel must be trained and qualified to oversee the work and ensure compliance with service standards.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for three (3) years with an option for two (2) additional one-year renewals at the discretion of the City. Continuation beyond the initial period is contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various City facilities located in Coral Gables, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must complete a Level 2 background check for all personnel assigned to the contract at their own expense. They must also provide a bid bond of 5% of the total proposal amount. Proposers should demonstrate financial stability by submitting financial statements for the last two fiscal years upon request.
