Jacksonville Bridge Facility Security Perimeter Fence Replacement

Background
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking bids for the Jacksonville Bridge Facility Security Perimeter Fence Replacement project. The project involves the removal and disposal of existing fence, gates, hardware, foundations, and materials, and the installation of a new six-foot chain-link fence with a 3-strand barbed wire assembly (approximately 3000 LF) at 838 Ellis Rd Jacksonville, Florida 32254. The work will be in accordance with all local building codes, ordinances, Standard Plans Index 550-002, and all contract terms.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide sufficient workforce, equipment, component parts, materials, oversight, permitting, safety, clean-up, and all incidentals necessary for the project. This includes replacing all gates in-kind at existing locations and dimensions. Additionally, the contractor should include a price option for providing and installing the specified fence/gates with a black vinyl-coated finish.
A pre-work meeting shall be conducted prior to any work commencing on the project to discuss work schedule and job completion schedule. The contractor is responsible for acquiring necessary permits and licenses as well as complying with Federal, State, and Local Rules and Regulations. The project also requires maintaining insurance coverage specified in the Non-Technical Specifications for the duration of the project.

Period of Performance
The contract time is set at 90 days from commencement of work. A schedule of dates for permitting, shop drawing review (if needed), and beginning/completion of work must be provided for review and written approval by the Owner’s Project Manager.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at District Two Bridge Maintenance Office located at 838 Ellis Rd Jacksonville, Florida.
