Background
Delaware State University (DSU) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for Janitorial and Cleaning Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the University receives high-quality cleaning services that meet its operational needs. This RFP is issued under the authority of Delaware Code Title 29, Chapter 6924, which allows for competitive proposals when traditional bidding is not practical.
Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, and labor to perform janitorial and cleaning services as outlined in Appendix A of the RFP. This includes but is not limited to:
- Daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Floor care including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Trash removal.
- Restroom sanitation.
- Any additional services as required by the University.
The vendor must ensure that all services are performed in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of three (3) years from the start date, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms based on mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Delaware State University’s campus in Dover, Delaware.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate their capability to provide the required services and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. There are no mandatory pre-bid meetings required for this RFP. Vendors must submit a non-collusion statement along with their proposal. The bid bond requirement has been waived for this solicitation.
