Hearing Aids

Background
The Delaware Department of Labor, through its Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), is seeking proposals for the provision of hearing aids and related audiology services. The DVR aims to support individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment by providing necessary assistive technology, specifically hearing aids, to enhance their hearing function. This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to promote self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life for Delaware residents.

Work Details
Vendors are required to supply a comprehensive range of hearing aids, including but not limited to behind-the-ear (BTE), receiver-in-canal (RIC), in-the-ear (ITE), and completely-in-canal (CIC) devices. Services must include fitting, programming, maintenance, minor repairs, and customer support for DVR clients statewide. Vendors must ensure that all products meet FDA approval and comply with applicable federal and state regulations. The contract may involve multiple vendors to effectively meet diverse client needs.

Period of Performance
The contract will be valid for one year from August 11, 2025, to August 11, 2026, with an option for renewal through negotiation up to three months after the initial term.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided statewide across all counties in Delaware.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must maintain appropriate licensure and certifications for audiologists and hearing instrument specialists. They are also required to submit a non-collusion statement and provide business references. Subcontracting is permitted but must be disclosed in the proposal.
