Background
The Employment Development Department of the State of California is seeking to lease approximately 21,697 net usable square feet (nusf) of office space in the City of Van Nuys. This solicitation aims to find suitable commercial real estate properties that meet specific criteria set forth by the agency. The Department of General Services acts as a full-service commercial real estate provider for the State.

Work Details
The selected building must meet the following requirements:
1) Be asbestos hazard-free upon occupancy;
2) Accommodate state plans, specifications, seismic safety, and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable codes including California Building Code & Title 24;
3) Be located close to public transportation;
4) Comply with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements.

Preference will be given to buildings demonstrating LEED or Energy Star compliance.
