Background
The North County Transit District (NCTD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to establish an agreement for Thermo King HVAC bus parts. This contract aims to secure fixed prices and lead times for HVAC parts necessary to service a fleet of approximately 152 buses.
The contract will be for three base years with two additional one-year options.
Work Details
The contractor will provide Thermo King HVAC bus parts as specified in the solicitation. The details of the required parts can be found in Appendix A, Scope of Work & Special Conditions.
The estimated total project cost is $1,092,340, which includes the two optional years.
Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a period of three years with two optional one-year extensions.
Place of Performance
Services and deliveries will take place at NCTD Bus Operations West located at 303 Via Del Norte, Oceanside, CA 92058, and NCTD Bus Operations East at 755 Norlak Ave, Escondido, CA 92025.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with California Labor Code requirements regarding prevailing wages and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and must document their efforts in this regard. A performance bond and payment bond are required upon execution of the agreement.
