Background
The San Mateo County Community College District is issuing this solicitation for the Skyline College Building 6 Chiller Replacement Project. The District aims to replace an outdated air-cooled chiller to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with current standards.
Work Details
The work includes the removal of the existing 90-ton capacity air-cooled chiller and its replacement with a new air-cooled chiller of the same capacity. Additionally, two 250-gallon chiller water buffer tanks will be added to increase the volume of water in the chilled water system, ensuring a minimum loop-time of three minutes as recommended by the chiller manufacturer. The new chiller will be connected to the existing Building Management System (BMS). The contract also includes factory startup, test run, and owner's acceptance of the new chiller.

Bidder Requirements
Bids can only be submitted by contractors holding A and B licenses who have been pre-qualified with the District. Subcontractors must also meet these registration requirements.
