RFP 6025 - On-Call Electrical Services

Background
The San Bernardino County Project and Facilities Management Department is seeking proposals for on-call electrical services to maintain 1,200 active County-owned buildings and 9,719,418 square feet of properties.
The goal is to ensure timely response and quality service for various electrical needs across the county.

Work Details
The contractor will provide routine maintenance and emergency repair of electrical systems, including but not limited to:
- Thermal testing of electrical equipment
- Preventive maintenance (tightening lugs, testing)
- Installation and upgrades of lighting systems
- Troubleshooting and repair of existing electrical systems
- Upgrade of electrical service and distribution
- Parking lot lighting installations and repairs
- Compliance with prevailing wage laws.
Emergency services must be available 24/7 with a response time not exceeding 2 hours. All work orders issued under the contract shall not exceed $75,000.

Period of Performance
The contract period will last for a maximum of 5 years, beginning approximately on April 1, 2026, and ending on March 31, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout San Bernardino County.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations and comply with all provisions of the Labor Code, including paying prevailing wages.
They should also demonstrate experience in similar projects and provide references from previous contracts.
