Planning & Design for Passenger Concourse Improvements & Pad 11 Reconstruction at Long Beach Airport

Background
The City of Long Beach, sponsor for the Long Beach Airport, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from professional engineering consulting firms to provide planning and design services for the Passenger Concourse Improvements and Pad 11 Reconstruction and Taxiway K Rehabilitation Projects at the Long Beach Airport. The Long Beach Airport covers 1,166 acres of area and has continued to serve as an economic engine for the region since 1923. The Airport prides itself on preserving its esteemed historic legacy and maintaining a safe, sustainable, and environmentally responsible operation.

Work Details
The projects include planning and design services for Passenger Concourse Improvements, Pad 11 Reconstruction, and Taxiway K Rehabilitation Projects funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Terminal Program (ATP) Grant and/or Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG). The scope of work involves project administration, engineering design services including preliminary phase, design phase, bidding phase, construction phase, and project closeout phase. The deliverables are expected to be completed by May 2025.
Performance metrics will be tracked including budget & schedule adherence, design accuracy/completeness, construction estimate vs. actual comparison, and contract management.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The total contract term will not exceed five years.

The geographic location for the project is the Long Beach Airport in California.
