Modesto City Schools (MCS) serves approximately 30,000 students across various communities including Modesto, Salida, Ceres, Empire, and Riverbank. The District operates multiple educational institutions and is primarily funded through state apportionments and local property taxes.
This Request for Proposal (RFP #26-4846) seeks proposals for the purchase of various paper and janitorial supplies to support the District's operations.
Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of various paper and janitorial supplies as specified in the RFP Pricing Sheet. The intent is to award on a line-by-line basis.
Proposers must submit samples for all items they are quoting on, including Safety Data Sheets for janitorial products. All products must meet minimum shelf-life requirements set forth by the District and must be delivered in compliance with specified conditions including packaging integrity and temperature control during delivery.
Period of Performance
The anticipated agreement period is from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with options for two additional one-year extensions.
Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to Nutrition Services Warehouse located at 1200 North Carpenter Road, Modesto, CA 95351.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must comply with several requirements including:
- Drug-Free Workplace Certification
- Compliance with the Clean Air Act for contracts over $150,000
- Submission of nutritional information spec sheets no older than two years
- Adherence to California Proposition 65 regulations.
Proposers must also provide evidence of qualifications and may be required to submit references from similar clients.
