Background
The City of Redwood City, California, is seeking bids from qualified pest control companies to provide vector control services specifically targeting rodent and cockroach control in the City's sanitary sewers and creeks. Work Details
The contractor will conduct the following services:
1. **Sewer Rodent Control Program**: Inspect and rebait selected sanitary sewer manholes as needed. Inspections will check for consumed or deteriorated bait and address deficiencies such as vandalism or missing bait blocks.
2. **Sewer Cockroach Control Program**: Open and treat approximately 150 selected sanitary sewer manholes quarterly (September, December, March, June) with insecticides in the presence of a Vector Control Specialist.
3. **Creek Rodent Control Program**: Install approximately 400 protective bait stations along natural drainage creeks and other designated areas (e.g., Port of Redwood City). Follow-up inspections will be conducted to replace consumed or deteriorated bait and correct deficiencies. The contractor must use specified rodenticides (e.g., Bromethalin) and insecticides (e.g., NIBOR-D) as per manufacturer guidelines.
Period of Performance
The contract will initially be for one year from the effective date, with options to renew for two additional two-year terms at the City's discretion.

The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Redwood City, California, specifically in designated sanitary sewers and creek areas.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a Qualified Applicator License or a Pest Control Operator’s License issued by the State of California.
